Before you join
What do founding coaches actually pay?+
Your first month is free, as it is for every coach. After that, you pay half the list price on whichever tier suits you, for as long as you stay subscribed, however far the public price moves later. Founding places close on 30 November 2026, or sooner if they run out.
Do I need a card to start?+
No. Your first 30 days are free, and you don't need a card to start. You add a card only when you choose a plan, and nothing is charged until your free month ends. We email you a week before your first payment.
What if my free month ends and I haven't chosen?+
Nothing is deleted. You can still sign in and see everything, and sessions already booked still go ahead. You just can't add or change anything, or take new bookings, until you choose a plan. If you hold a founding place, choose a plan before your free month ends to keep it; otherwise it goes to the next coach.
How do AI notes work, and what do they cost?+
AI notes turn a session recording into draft notes you can edit. They only run for sessions where your client has said yes; without that, you still record and write notes yourself. The AI add-on is €20 a month ($20 in the US and Canada) and includes 50 hours of session audio. Beyond that it's €0.50 ($0.50) an hour, up to a monthly limit you set yourself ($50 to start). Your free month includes 5 hours of AI notes, so you can try them on real sessions.
Can I cancel any time?+
Yes, from Plan & billing. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. After that, your practice is read-only for 30 days so you can export everything. If you're a founding coach, cancelling ends your 50% price for good. Pausing keeps it.
Can I take a break without cancelling?+
Yes. On a monthly plan, once you've made your first payment, you can pause for 1, 2 or 3 months from Plan & billing, once every 12 months. The pause starts after the month you've already paid for, and nothing is charged while you're paused. You can still sign in, see everything and download your data, and sessions already booked still go ahead. New bookings and AI notes are off until you're back. Billing restarts on its own, and we email you a week before. You can end the pause early whenever you like. If you're a founding coach, pausing keeps your 50% price.
How long does setup take?+

Who is Coachstra actually for?+
Independent coaches and small coaching practices: 1:1, group, and team coaching. Not enterprise L&D platforms, and not sports/fitness coaching apps.
Does it replace my Zoom, Calendly, or Stripe account?+
It works with your Zoom: Coachstra connects to the Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams account you already use. It replaces a separate booking tool like Calendly: Coachstra has its own booking page, and your Google or Outlook events show on your Coachstra calendar. And payments go straight into a Stripe account in your own name, with no cut taken.
How does AI session note-taking handle consent?+
Recording and AI notes are opt-in per session and gated behind explicit client consent, matching the ICF Code of Ethics on informed consent. Never on by default, never silent.
Is my client data secure?+
Client data is isolated per coach account and encrypted at rest and in transit. A separate read-only, aggregate-only view for HR or program sponsors, which never shows individual session content, is on the roadmap.
